art by Michele Feder

All images are created in oil on canvas. The following techniques have been used; glazing and dry brush.
The glazing process requires many layers of semi-transparent applications of paint and medium to build
upon an image it reminds me somewhat of the watercolor process, but much drying time is needed
between layers. Once the fat over lean principal is mastered - meaning thin layers under thick layers
of medium, one can produce transparent-like images. Some dry brush as well as scumbling has been
used with the images
.
